Michaelmas Celebration 2017

Our homeschool co-op celebrated Michaelmas a little early this year but we will continue to celebrate and to conquer our 'dragons' throughout the season.

The children went on a journey through the forest. They first heard a story about a dragon attacking the castle with fire balls, so the children were able to throw felted balls at the castle to knock it down, then they extinguished the dragon's fire. Next they had to limbo under the silk dragon's fire while following the dragon's smoke trail, they long jumped across the raging river (jump ropes) before sneaking into the dragon's lair and collecting gems without being caught by the "dragon" (child in the dragon cloak) and finally facing and defeating the fierce dragon piñata filled with handmade treats. After they celebrated their victory at the great feast where dragon breads were served.
